Privacy policy
How Pickle Call handles your data, and how picklecall.app uses cookies only if you accept them.
Pickle Call is made by Kallos Labs. This policy covers the Pickle Call app and this website, picklecall.app.
The short version
The Pickle Call app does not collect your data. There is no account, no tracking, no ads and no analytics. Your games, players and history stay on your devices, and voice scoring listens on the device: no audio is recorded, stored or sent. This website uses Google Analytics only if you accept cookies.
Account
You don’t sign up or sign in. We don’t know who you are.
Tracking, analytics and ads
The app has no analytics or advertising code and does not track you across apps or websites. On the App Store, its privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. The app uses the network only for purchases through Apple and to sync with your own Apple Watch.
Permissions
Pickle Call asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it, and everything else keeps working if you say no.
- Photos (add only): when you choose to save a match result image to your photo library. The app cannot see your photos.
- Microphone and speech recognition (voice scoring): only when you turn on Settings > Voice scoring, part of Pickle Call Unlock. During a game the app listens for who won the rally (“Blue”, “Orange”, the team names, “us”, “them”) and “undo”. Speech is recognised only on your iPhone, with Apple’s on-device recognition; no audio is recorded, stored or sent anywhere, and no transcript is kept. On Apple Watch, the microphone is used only while you tap the mic: the short clip goes over the direct Watch connection to your own paired iPhone, is recognised there and is then discarded. Turn voice scoring off, or deny the permissions, and everything else works as before.
- Health (Apple Watch): only when you turn on Save as workout in the Watch settings. Each match is then saved to Health as a pickleball workout. Pickle Call reads nothing from Health. With Save as workout off, the Watch app uses a workout session only to stay on screen during a game and nothing is saved to Health.
Your data stays on your devices
Your match history, saved players and teams, the game in progress and your settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad, and shared with your paired Apple Watch and the Watch’s complications so a game shows on both. They are not sent to us or to any server we run. Settings > Delete all data removes them from the device and your Apple Watch; your purchase is kept. Deleting the app removes them too.
Purchases go through Apple
Purchases are made through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details; the app only receives a receipt from Apple that says what is unlocked.
This website
picklecall.app uses Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read, only if you accept cookies in the banner. Until you do, nothing from Google loads and no cookie is set; with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track on, the banner never asks. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and Google receives the pages you visit, how you reached them, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features are off. Your choice is kept in your browser; change it any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, which also removes the cookies if you decline. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time to run and protect the service.
Children
Pickle Call collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
